Brent has served as Managing Partner of REATA Assets, Investments & Development since its inception in September 2012, leading efforts which have resulted in the acquisition and development of more than $100 million in privately held projects.

Brent began his career as an Institutional Client consultant with ARGUS Financial Software in 1993. After relocating to San Antonio in 1995, Brent joined Grubb & Ellis where he was recruited in 1997 by REATA Founding Partner Bob Barnes (then Managing Partner for Trammell Crow – San Antonio) to his retail brokerage team which leased many of the firm’s most visible and successful development projects.

At the Trammell Crow Company, Brent progressively played a key role in retail project leasing, tenant representation and investment sales while cultivating valuable relationships with national, regional and local clients. These relationships and depth of experience propelled his movement into the development side of the business in 2004 as Retail Development Partner for Trammell Crow in South Texas. He remained in this role until leaving to form KCT Ventures, a private development and investment company in 2009.

As Founder and Managing Partner of KCT Ventures, Brent developed Cameron Crossing, a 120-acre project in the Rio Grande Valley which currently consists of 300,000 square feet of retail space anchored by Bass Pro Shops and Sam’s Wholesale Club. Brent continues to manage the operations of KCT Ventures as a private investment company that primarily focuses on opportunities in the commercial real estate industry.

Brent holds a Masters Degree from the Texas A&M graduate program in Land and Real Estate Development. His professional affiliations include membership in the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the San Antonio Real Estate Council. He has served as a Trailblazer for the PGA Valero Open and coached youth lacrosse for a San Antonio private school and a local lacrosse club.

Brent is married and has three children. His other interests include: fly fishing, snowboarding, cycling and travel.
